So you are ready for your big day following the rehearsal dinner. Your date is set, and your reception hall is booked. You have your dress picked out, and the wedding party is in place. This pre-wedding bash has been around for years and is always after the wedding rehearsal. There are some etiquette issues that you may want to think about beforehand though.
Who Pays for This
Etiquette has it that the parents of the groom traditionally pay for this shindig. It has always been said that this is the event in which the mother of the groom shows off in way stating that she knows a thing or two about how to entertain. Who Is Invited?

When Should This Be Planned?
You should really plan your rehearsal dinner as soon as you are able to make the reservations. Generally you should plan this about three or four months in advance. By that time you will have a good idea of who will be in your wedding party and what your guest list will look like. If you are having a Saturday wedding, these festivities should be booked for a Thursday night if possible.
Where Should This Take Place?
The best location would be at a restaurant as this is the norm. But you can always deviate and host this event at a unique location. Select a place that is near your ceremony site so that it is more convenient for your guests. Make sure that you reserve a private room if possible.
When Do The Invites Get Sent?
As a general rule, invites are mailed out about a month before the dinner takes place. They are always sent out after the wedding invitations. You never ever want to put the wedding invitations in with the invites for the rehearsal dinner. Even though they are part of the wedding festivities, they really are two separate events.
